About the Home

Hello and welcome to Third Acre Home!

My name is Alison and I live with my husband, Christopher, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

When we bought our first home on a third of an acre lot, we knew it was a great training ground for us to learn the skills needed to live the self sufficient and sustainable life we always dreamed of. We have long had an interest in this lifestyle and felt it was important to align our daily habits with our values.

We may have a small lot size, but we are committed to putting all of our resources to the best use, and we are so excited to share our story with you as we learn and grow.
